Retrograde Planets

Retrograde means backwards. The Sun and Moon always follow forward motion. Rahu and Ketu always follow backward (retrograde) motion. The rest five planets Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn sometimes become retrograde. Suppose you are going in a fast car. You look backward at a cyclist who is also going in the same direction in which you are proceeding. But due to your much faster motion, the distance between you and the cyclist is moving backwards. Such phenomenon gives us the impression that the planet is Retrograde. Retrograde planet possesses strength and produces effects similar to exalted planets.
